1tb-seagate-constellation-es-3-enterprise-hard-drive-78-powered-on-hours
1TB Seagate Constellation ES.3 Enterprise Hard Drive (78 Powered On Hours)

This is a 'used' Seagate Constellation ES.3 Hard Drive 7200 RPM Serial, SATA Rev 3.0. with 78 powered on hours.

This drive still works perfectly and it passes multiple passes with badblocks and an extended smart test.

When I first started up this drive, it had 0 powered on hours. The 78 hours are from my initial testing.

NOTE: When this particular drive boots up it will have write caching *disabled* by default. This is not typical and may lead to unexpectedly poor write performance if you don't enable write caching. Since this is an enterprise drive, write caching was likely disabled on boot by default in the firmware to fit the customer's needs (which was probably higher reliability in the event of unexpected power loss). If you don't understand what this means, then you probably shouldn't buy this hard drive.

It's possible that windows may automatically enable write caching at boot for this drive, but I don't know for sure and I offer no guarantee about such behaviour.

On Linux, you can turn on write caching using the 'hdparm' command:

sudo hdparm -W 1 /dev/sdX

However, this change will only last until the next reboot. To make the change permanent, you will probably need to add a custom udev rule.

You will receive the exact same drive with the serial number shown in the images.

Since this is a used drive, it is being sold 'as is' and without warranty. I can personally certify that the output shown below is real and was actually run on this specific drive by me, and also that I ran badblocks tests on this specific drive and found no issues.

Here is the output from running fdisk -l /dev/sde on this drive:

Disk /dev/sde: 931.51 GiB, 1000204886016 bytes, 1953525168 sectors
Disk model: USB3.0 DISK03
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes

<span style="color: rgb(5, 5, 5);
